back to it
Well, it was a mighty good weekend, got lots of stuff done. About ready to start redoing and repairing the livingroom. It is so nice to be able to get around without having to sit every 5 or 10 minutes. I even fixed dinner last night standing up, did not sit once. It's amazing what a difference 48 pounds can make. I actually started feeling better after losing 15.

Yay!! I am so happy for you!! So do you want us to post recipes in the reply box or....?

ReplyDeleteThis looks good.
ReplyDeleteHi Melanie
ReplyDeleteI have not met you. We have the same doc. I am also working at losing weight. At my heaviest I weighed about 260. Now I am at 231 and working down to 180. I lost my health insurance (when I lost my job in April) and that helped me to think about being healthy and getting this weight off. At my new job (health care) I see the effects of people who don't take care of themselves. I can no longer ignore my weight and the impact it has on my family and myself.
My Mom bought me some Alli but I am a minimalist and don't want to take it. Plus I can't run to the bathroom all the time, I have to answer phones and be ready for emergencies. I have been walking my dog for about 3 miles a day and watching what I eat. Gave up diet dr pepper and am drinking water.
I want to get off high blood pressure med and lower my pulse! I have to watch salt and that is hard to do. My husband is over 400 lbs and he is working hard to get weight off, so we need to change the way we cook.
So far your progress is terrific! Congratulations
Tracy
Great to meet you Tracy and congrats on your weight loss. I know it's not easy. It's really crazy, my husband weighs 476 now after getting off 12 pounds his first month. He decided he wanted to feel better also. I hope that we can keep each other going, I don't have internet at home, so if it takes me time to get to you just know I have to do this during breaks and at work. So, don't give up on me. :) So, tell me how do you feel after getting 30 pounds off. Do you feel different? Have you started discovering stuff yet? I mean like me just the 48 pounds I noticed that my fingers are looking different and I can reach further behind my back, and breathing is easier. What kind of dog do you have? Hang in there, hope to hear from you soon and if you want to talk privately, just go on my contact page and send me an e-mail. Talk at you later. mel
